Non-Theatrical Design
The Bitter Drop
Commissioned by Synch Games for The Bitter Drop, a fantasy visual novel. To be handed over to the artist on the development team for final asset creation. Client delivered specs and brief character descriptions (eg., "Elegant nu-goth/flapper type" and "Very Alexander McQueen goth. Always overdressed."). Similar to a theatrical production, I delivered roughs for approval before finalizing details and color schemes. Designed on client-provided croquis, in order to assure proportions would be consistent through delivery to final artist.
Opening Night
Art Assets for solo visual novel project. The story is set during the opening performance of an unspecified play set in the Regency era, which means all actor characters need costumes as well as street clothes. As the writer and artist, I not only designed the characters but also the backgrounds.
Commissioned Designs
Not Really Regency
A thing I do to unwind is draw whatever characters are on my mind in clothes that are Regency approximately the way most things labeled "Victorian" are related to actual Victoriana.
